He was 89 years old and retired from Modern Automotive. He enjoyed fishing, boating and camping.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Katherine Bell, daughter Lynne Kelley, brothers Frank and William (Avery) Bell and sister Mary Lou Murphy.
He is survived by sons Michael (Dana) and Stephen (Kristi) and grandchildren Joshua and Shannon; and Jerry Bell.
To honor Billy’s wishes, there will not be a visitation.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 1pm at Forsyth Memorial Park, 3815 Yadkinville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Forsyth Humane Society.
