Mrs. Doris Kathleen Parker

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Her love of children led her to work with Horizons Residential Care Center for over 15 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Richard Gray Parker; and brother, Joe Frank Haynes.

She is survived by son, Michael Parker; grandson, James Richard Parker; 2 sisters, Virginia Bennett and Betty Hemric; sister-in-law, Wanda Cockerham; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be Friday, August 24, 2012, 12:00 pm, at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:50 am prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Charity Baptist Church Cemetery in Boonville, NC.
