Elizabeth "Betty" K. (Mosel) Fyock

Elizabeth K. (Mosel) Fyock passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022, at her home. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She was born March 31, 1929, in Clarksburg, WVa to the late Frederick and Katherine Mosel.

Betty was a devoted wife and Mother, who loved, cared, supported and gave selflessly to her husband COL James A. Fyock (deceased), her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends throughout the years. She was a proud military wife, a patriot, and an exemplary Christian who exhibited strength of character, grace and courage in the most difficult times throughout her life. She loved to travel, to exercise, do for others, but most of all she loved being with her beloved husband of nearly 60 years.

Betty is survived by her three children, James A. Fyock Il, and wife Carolyn, of Greenwood, S.C., Linda K. O'Dunne and husband, Michael, of Charlotte, and Theodore C. "Ted" Fyock and wife, Joan, of Winston-Salem. She had 10 grandchildren, Christopher (wife Rose), Rebecca and Katie Fyock; Matthew Thomas, Elizabeth Thomas (husband Brent) McWhorter, Jennifer Thomas and Patrick O 'Dunne (wife Ashley); and Ted Jr. (wife Kristen), Stephen and Michael Fyock; and 11 great grandchildren, Madeline and Alexander Fyock; Lindsay, Charlie, Emma and Finnelea McWhorter; Theodore C. Fyock Ill and Kensington Fyock; and Maggie, Ruby and Rowan O'Dunne.

The family is eternally grateful to all the compassionate and loving caregivers who have been a part of her life for the past three years. In addition, the family would like to thank the Trellis Supportive Care staff, who were so amazing and compassionate.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, February 13th from 2-4pm at Vogler Funeral Home at Forsyth Memorial Park with a celebration of life service following at 4pm. She will be laid to rest in a private committal service at Forsyth Memorial Park.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse or the Wounded Warriors Project.
