She attended Atkins High School and Women’s College in Greensboro. She worked for the Federal Government for 34 years and retired from Social Security in 1990. She lived her life in service to others and shepherded her family with loving strength.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Leonard and son, Gregory Leonard. Surviving family includes her daughter, Kymberly L. Settle (Gary) of Winston-Salem, son Dr. Michael Leonard (Dawn) of Raleigh and grandchildren, Camden, Avery, Seth and Lauren.
A Memorial Service is scheduled Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Mt. Zion Christian Church in Mebane at 2:00 p.m. where we will celebrate her life.
