Frances Jones York

Frances Jones York went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2025. She was born October 1, 1928 in Miller’s Creek North Carolina as Mary Frances Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband Dwight S. York and a very special niece Patricia Sheets. She is survived by a daughter Linda York Coy, a son Stephen Dwight York, daughter-in-law Mill York, son-in-law Dale Coy, grandsons Bryce Mabe and Mitchel Mabe, granddaughters Kerry Mabe, Adley Mabe, and Emberlyn Mabe.

Graduated from Lenior Ryne College. Frances worked for Pan American Missile Division for 8 years followed by 30 years at Forsyth County Department of Social Services. After retirement she enjoyed travel and volunteered as secretary, library assistant, and senior travel agent at Old Town Baptist Church where she was a member since 1972. She worked disaster relief for hurricanes Katrina and Sandy.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Old Town Baptist Church. There will be a visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
