Glenn Woodrow Miller

January 15, 1955 – May 26, 2025
Obituary of Glenn Woodrow Miller
IN THE CARE OF

Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park

Glenn Woodrow Miller went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 26, 2025.

Glenn was born on January 15, 1955, in Covington, Virginia to the late Clayton and Margie Miller. Glenn worked to live. His adventurous spirit took him on journeys throughout the country, creating cherished memories, and even landing him in one of his favorite spots to visit, Key West, to live for a while.

Glenn was also quite the daredevil. He relished in the stories of how he went skydiving, bungee jumping, and how he jumped off a huge cliff into water. His enjoyment of antique cars and auto shows also added to his collection of memories, as well as a few of his own classic hotrods.

Above all, Glenn loved God and he loved his family. He was so proud of his daughter and grandchildren and would do anything for them. He was a loving and supportive grandfather to his two grandchildren, engaging in extensive conversations of life lessons, philosophies, God, and motivation as they grew into adulthood - reminding them to not repeat his mistakes, but spread his love and message. He never hesitated in reminding them how much he loved them and how proud he was of the people they grew up to be.

He leaves behind his daughter, Kelly Heath; grandchildren, Jody Hoover and Hale Heath; great grandchild, Rylynn Grace Hoover; siblings, Larry (Ann) Miller, Betty (Bobby) Wolfe, and Peggy (Dan) Larnerd; ex-wife and dear friend, Sandra (Joe) Weeks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his brother William “Willie” Miller.

Glenn was a devoted man of God, and that dedication was helped along with the relationships he built with his church families. He never missed an opportunity to witness to others and share how God changed his life. The family would like to thank Stan and Edie Sizemore of Word of Life Ministries in Covington, Virginia, and the entire pastoral staff of Freewater Church in Midway, North Carolina, for their devotion to Glenn as well as their compassion and care they have shown their family.

Glenn loved to dance and spent many nights on the dance floor. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now dancing in Heaven and enjoying his final retirement.
