

Born on September 21st, 1946, in Kaifeng, Henan Province, China, Haixia faced the challenges of the Civil War and the Cultural Revolution, emerging as a resilient and accomplished individual.
A talented artist, fashion shoe designer and an entrepreneur. Haixia’s intelligence and ambition shone through her contributions to the field of shoemaking, with the publication of a technical book and several picture albums that showcased her unique designs.
Later in life, she embraced her Christian faith and devoted herself to caring for her paralyzed husband, demonstrating profound love and commitment. Her husband described her as more precious than a ruby, reflecting her noble character. Her daughter views her as a loving mother and an inspiring role model, while her son-in-law acknowledged her as the glue that held the family together. Her granddaughter fondly remembered her as the most beautiful woman inside and out.
Haixia is lovingly remembered by her husband, Xiaobo Wang; her daughter, Wei Wang; and her granddaughter, Caralyn Walters.
A celebration of Haixia’s life was held on June 5th, 2025, at 11 am at Forsyth Memorial Park, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
