9th at his residence. Mr. Franklin was born July 10, 1935 in Alleghany County to the late Tyre Roscoe and Alma Lundy Franklin. Joe was a well-known and natural salesman. He loved travelling, telling stories, and connecting with people on the road. He had eclectic tastes, and was a lover of arts, sports, and nature. He is survived by his son John, daughter in law Irene, and four year old grandson Nicholas Franklin of Portand, Oregon. A graveside service officiated by Pastor Phil Edwards was held at Rich Hill Cemetery on Friday, November 13, 2015.
