Josie Eloise Walker Davis

Eloise Walker Davis, 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2nd, 2017. She was born June 8th, 1925 in Forsyth County to the late William Winfield Walker and Laura Dillon Walker. She was a member of Northwoods Baptist Church.

She retired from Hanes Brand, formerly Adams-Millis in Kernersville, NC. Eloise had a great love for her family and loved working in her flower garden.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William “Bill” Davis; grandson Stephen Davis; daughter-in-law, Linda Davis; four brothers and three sisters.

Surviving Mrs. Davis are three daughters: Carolyn Davis (John) of Shallotte, NC, Barbara Trivette (Frankie) of Lexington, NC, Diane Floyd (Ray) of Walkertown, NC; two sons: Jerry Davis and Louis Davis (Glenda) both of Winston-Salem, NC; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Trilby Walker and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff of Oak Forest for the loving care they gave Mrs. Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, January 6th, 2017 at Northwoods Baptist Church, 5204 Old Walkertown Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105, with Rev. Jim Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Northwoods Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC.
