He was born on October 14, 1966 to Frances Virginia Perry and Eugene Kendrick. He was raised by Frances and James Henry Martin in Winston Salem with his brother, Donald Gene Kendrick, and sister, Cheryl Latrice Martin. He graduated from North Forsyth Highschool in 1984 and completed the Automotive Body Repair program in Forsyth Tech Community College in 1986. Afterwards he served in the US Marines.
Keni was a skilled mechanic all his life. He was an absolute Car Guy and Gear Head working for various dealerships in Virginia and North Carolina including Ford, Chevrolet, Honda and Marcedes. He was a metal worker artisan who built motorcycles in DC. He was passionate about music. He was a great guitarist and a true musician. He ran his own business, Kendrick Services and Transportation and served the local blind and disabled community. He loved animals–so many pets! He made us all laugh. He was into Bigfoot and all things cryptid, conspiracy theories, aliens, mythos, history, and mysteries.
He wanted to be remembered for being a loving husband and loving father. With his family and to those in need, he was a 'No Man Left Behind' guy. He will be immensely missed by his wife of 16 years, Guenivir Elin Kendrick, and his two children, Aurora Carrie and Nathaneil Wayne Kendrick. He will also be dearly missed by his sister, Cheryl, his in-laws, the Llanes and Morales family, and his church family from Marshall Baptist Church.
He was a fighter to the end. He won a victory in life. Today he is completely healed and living his best life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Keni was always faithful. “Keep going,” Keni.
