Lois Marie Baynes Rush

Lois Marie Baynes Rush passed away on May 5, 2022. She was born on June 11, 1926 in Iredell County to the late John and Bessie Lee Marlow Baynes. Lois attended City Schools. She retired from Western Electric after 55 years as a lucient/lead operator. Lois was a dedicated member of Friedburg Moravian Church where she participated in Sunday School, William Workers Bible Class, and Senior Friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles Robert Rush; brothers, Frances and John Billy Baynes; sister, Margaret Elizabeth Baynes; and son-in-law, Larry Gordan Knott. Lois leaves behind children, Charles Dennis Rush and Margaret Karen Knott; grandchildren. Margaret Esther Knott Blakeney (husband, Eric A. Blakeney), Larry Christopher Knott (significant other, Sherry H. Shelton), and Dustin Price Rush (wife, Melissa Ann Rush); and great grandchildren, Benjamin Ryan Rush and Luke Finley Rush.

A graveside service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park on Tuesday at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made Friedburg Moravian Church or the charity of your choice.
