

Mary Ann Soderlund Rippy, 57, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. Born on March 26, 1968, Mary Ann lived a life marked by dedication, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that filled her days. Mary Ann devoted many years of faithful service to the United States Postal Service. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the kindness she extended to coworkers and members of her community. Her professionalism and steady presence earned the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside her.
An adventurous spirit at heart, Mary Ann found great joy in traveling. She embraced every opportunity to explore new places, not only for the destinations themselves but for the memories, friendships, and experiences she gathered along the way. Whether near or far, she found beauty and meaning in every journey. Mary Ann will be remembered for her vibrant personality, warm heart, and her remarkable ability to find joy in everyday life. Her enthusiasm for discovery and her genuine love for people left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by Melissa Davidson. She is lovingly survived by Nicole Rippy, Jacob Rippy, Mary Hawkins, David Soderlund, Brady Carpenter, Emma Rippy, Elizabeth Rippy, Ethan Rippy, Joe Soderlund, Thomas Soderlund, and Sharon Baucom. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Pineville United Methodist Church, 110 S. Polk Street, Pineville, North Carolina 28134. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support mission trips in her memory. Mary Ann’s memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her love, laughter, and adventurous spirit will never be forgotten.
