

Perry was born on December 29, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Otis and Olga Height. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years of service as a finance and accounting specialist. While serving in Korea, Perry met his wife, Ui Sun Kim, and the two married on December 21, 1973. After a successful military career, he worked for Food Lion as an assistant produce manager for 19 years.
Perry was a hardworking and reserved man. He had a humorous yet soft spoken demeanor that won the hearts of many. In his youth, he was very athletic, enjoying participating in most sports. He was a talented artist and was also an avid chess player. In his older years, he enjoyed cinema- taking in documentaries, westerns, and even sci-fi and horror.
Perry leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Kim Height; children, Betty, Debra, and Patrick Height; granddaughter, Mi Sun Williams; and numerous other family members and loved ones.
There will be a private military committal for family and close friends at Piedmont Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will follow for Perry that evening at 7pm at Korean First Presbyterian Church at 318 Old Stage Coach Trail, Greensboro, NC 27409
