

Philip Wade Barton, age 45, of Pfafftown, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes on Thursday July 28th, 2016 at his residence. Memorial services will be held Monday August 1st, 2016 at 4:00pm at Vogler and Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, August 1st, 2016 from 3:00 to 4:00pm.
Mr. Barton was born on October 22nd, 1970, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Larry Barton and wife Jewell Barton of Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was of the Presbyterian Faith. For the majority of his life he worked in the hospitality industry and most recently for Diamond Back Grille.
Mr. Barton was an avid fisherman and reader, movie historian, music and Rolling Stones fan, loyal Panthers fan, and loved cooking for others and spending time outdoors—particularly with his late dog Tara. He was a kind-hearted man, outgoing and engaging, fiercely loyal to his many friends and family members, and protective of his mother Jewell until the very end.
Philip is survived by a sister Jill Huffman and husband Paul of Durham, North Carolina; brothers Scott Barton of Winston Salem, North Carolina; Eric Barton of Toboccoville, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; Amy Huffman and great nephew Grayson, Jared Huffman and wife Megan, Will Huffman and wife Emily and great niece Helene, Mary Kate Huffman, nephew Evan Barton and dear friend Candice of East Bend, North Carolina. He will be missed by all.
