Richard S. Davis July 30, 1946 ~ April 23, 2011 Richard S. Davis died peacefully, just as he had lived, on the morning of Saturday, April 23, 2011, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice. He was born on July 30, 1946, in New York, New York, and is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Annie; his son Richard, Jr., of Winston-Salem; his grandson Khalim Davis and daughter-in-law Kenyanta Hogue, of Charlotte; his brother Donald; and his cousin and lifelong friend Clifton McCullom, also of Winston-Salem. Richard was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved fishing and watching sports of all kinds. He also loved, and was loved by, Reynolda Church, where he served faithfully on the staff for two decades. A Memorial Service will be held at Reynolda Church, 2200 Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem, on Tuesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. The family will receive guests immediately following the service, in the chapel of Reynolda Church.
