Robert was born on Feb 21, 1982, to Robert Gordon Hemrick and Linda Lowry Hemrick. He was preceded in death by both parents – a loss he felt deeply. Robert loved his family, Wake Forest Athletics, and music.
He is survived by his fiancé Misty Hughes, sons Noah Matthew Hemrick (mother Jessica Williams) and Maddox Gordon Hemrick, sister Elizabeth Hemrick Floyd and her children Fallon and Dylan, sister Amanda Hemrick Mendenhall and Brad Powell and their son Avery, Grandmother Rachel Key Lowry as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Robert would also want to acknowledge his lifelong friend Nick Butner who was always there for him.
The family is thankful for the excellent care received in the Cardiac ICU at Forsyth, as well as HonorBridge who assisted in fulfilling Robert’s wishes to extend life for others.
A graveside service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park at 2:00pm on Monday, January 16th, conducted by the Rev. Jason Holley of Hanes Baptist Church.
