

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, William Groth, and is survived by her four daughters: Anne Groth Gray (Brendan), Susan Groth Baughman (Greg), Shirley Groth Hardesty (Kevin), and Janet Groth Fangmann (Tim), her precious grandchildren: Trevor Purifoy (Kimberly), Katherine Purifoy
(Bryan), Nathan Hardesty, Callie Hardesty, William Fangmann, and Matthew Fangmann, her sister-in-law Joyce Groth, many dear nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
She was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin on January 9, 1935, growing up there before marrying Bill in 1954. They raised their family in Minnetonka, MN. She and Bill relocated to Woodstock, Georgia in 1995, joining Hillside United Methodist Church and their beloved Fellowship Sunday School Class.
She survived cancer for over ten years, grateful for the excellent care and wonderful team at Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta.
She will be missed by all who knew her, long remembered as an avid reader and a woman of strong conviction and deep faith.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock, GA.
