

Thomas was a devoted husband, father, brother, veteran, and friend whose presence brought laughter, strength, and kindness to those around him. He was known for his honesty, caring nature, and unwavering love for his family and friends. A loving husband, father, brother, and friend, Thomas touched countless lives through his generosity, loyalty, and sense of humor.
Thomas proudly served his country as a veteran of the Iraq War. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to serving his community as a detention officer with the Surry County Detention Center. He was also a personal trainer who enjoyed helping others achieve their goals and improve their lives.
Outside of his work, Thomas had a passion for horror movies and rock and metal music. He loved playing the drums and guitar, finding both joy and expression through music. Whether sharing a laugh, lending a helping hand, or spending time with loved ones, Thomas left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Smith; his daughters, Kaitlyn, Gemma, and Gianna; his son, Dylan; and his sister, Leanna Megaris and brother-in-law Teddy Megaris. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in being a loving husband, brother, friend, and father.
Thomas will be remembered for his sense of humor, his generous heart, his dedication to others, and the love he shared so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on June 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Vogler Funeral Home, 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Though he will be deeply missed, Thomas’s legacy of love, service, laughter, and strength will remain with his family and friends forever.
