

Vicky Elaine Stanley (Chittum), age 66 of Pfafftown, NC passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025 in her home with her family by her side. She was born to Marrion Elise Chittum and Grover Lee Chittum, Jr on October 11, 1958 in Buena Vista, Virginia where she was raised. She attended and graduated from Rockbridge County High School in Fairfield.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Alfred Lee Stanley; two daughters Candice Elaine Stanley Lowe (Justin Michael Lowe) and Shayna Lee Hunter (Jonathan Earl Hunter); an adopted daughter (niece) Stephanie Nicole Postell (Carazon Lamonte Postell); two grandchildren Brystol Elaine Lowe and Vincent Earl Hunter; two brothers Gary Lynn Chittum and Donnie Stubblefield; two sisters Robin Gail Mock and Brenda Rhodenizer; and close friend Philip John Slater; along with several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Vicky was predeceased by her mother and father and brothers Wayne Lee Chittum and Allen Jay Chittum.
Vicky was an amazing wife, mommy, and Lala (grandma.) She was particularly fond of her grandbabies as they were the light of her world. She was devoted to Brystol and Vinny, showering them with unconditional love and endless support. She cherished every moment with them and would light up whenever she talked about them, their talents, and unique personalities.
She will always be remembered for the love and affection she showed everyone. She was a servant for the Lord and would do anything for anyone. She was known to go without so that she could help others. She has saved many lives even if she did not realize it. The strength and courage she displayed while fighting to live inspired all who knew her. She was also known for her cooking, baking, and candy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park. Interment will follow.
