Walter Herbert Willis

Walter retired from Norfolk-Southern Railway in 1987 after 30 years of Railroad service. From then until his death, he was an antique dealer doing shows in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA and running Willis Antiques with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Beth Willis, and siblings, David Dowler and Wanda W. Duke. Walter is survived by his 4 children, Walter H. Willis, Jr of Scottsdale, AZ, Mark T. Willis (Ingrid) of Lexington, SC, Piper W. Hendrix of Kernersville, NC, and Robin A. Willis of King, NC; grandchildren, Walter H. Willis III, Elizabeth Kinder (Jonathan), Trevor G. Hendrix (Quiahnna), and Nicole Jacobs (Justin); great grandchildren, Jaden, Kameron, Christian, Collin, Graham, Elaine, and Troy; brothers, Dale Dowler (Sandra) of Pfafftown, NC and Dr. Robert C. Dowler (Paula) of San Angelo, Texas; and sister-in-law, Judy Dowler.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Monday, July 29th at Vogler Funeral & Cremations. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10am to 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
