Wayne Yarbrough

Wayne Yarbrough passed away on August 7, 2021 at the age of 75 in Winston-Salem. Wayne was born on March 3, 1946 to the late Ralph and Margaret Yarbrough. He graduated from South West High School and attended Brevard College. Wayne went on to work as a real estate broker and developer.

Wayne had many varied interests and he excelled at all of them. These included: motorcycle racing (nationally ranked), dirt bike enduro racing, running (2:36 marathon), and cycling which he loved to do with his friends.

He was a pilot, contractor, and well as a real estate broker; a loving husband, father, and brother. Wayne was most importantly a man of great courage, honesty, integrity, and love for his friends.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Anne Farrington Yarbrough; son, Jason Kyle (Melissa) Yarbrough; stepson, Mark (Courtney) Howell; grandchildren, Mareena (Jack) Morris, Beatrice Howell, Steele Howell, and Ella Howell; great grandson Jaxon Morris; siblings, Mary Anne (Bill Prince) Yarbrough and James Bolton (Christine) Yarbrough; nephew, David (Katie) Yarbrough; special family friend, Walter (Kathy) Beroth; faithful and loving dogs, Sunny and Lucy; and numerous friends.
