Alice Kennedy Grimes, age 97, of Clermont, Florida passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024. Alice was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey to the late Mrs. Ida Emma (nee Steinel) and Mr. Arthur Cyril Husband.
Alice is preceded in death by Raymond F Grimes (husband) and John F Grimes (son). Her siblings; Art (Eleanor) Husband, Laura Husband, Iris (Dan) Whiteley.
Alice is survived by her Son Raymond Jr (Connie) Grimes and daughter April (Nick) Mancilla, grandsons; Ethan and Mark MeGee. Her son Mark (Laren) Lemon, granddaughter; Jamie and daughter Stephanie (Hector) Figueroa. Her Daughter Linda has 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She also has a host of nieces and nephews.
Alice became a registered nurse in the 1940s and studied in Philadelphia children's hospital before marrying Ray and moving to Orlando Fl and having 3 children. Worked about 20 plus years at Clermont South Lake Hospital and Winter Garden Hospital.
Was an extremely faithful Episcopalian her whole life and attended St. Matthias Episcopal church in Clermont since about 1963. She was one of the most devoted strong, organized, honest people you would ever meet.
