Barbara J Hubbard-Wimer
April 25, 1944 – December 31, 2019
Barbara Jean Williams Hubbard-Wimer, age 75, passed away peacefully at home with her husband holding her hand on December 31st.
What a great lady to have been able to share part of my life. Barb had fought the cancer with bravery and grace for almost eight years with so much success.
Born in Pensacola, the youngest of Joe and Agnes Williams, sister of Ray, Joe, and Beverly; Barb loved the fact that she was a native Floridian. Barb married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Tom Hubbard. She had two great sons, Tom and Joe and nine grandchildren. After the premature death of Dr. Tom, a friendship of many years developed into a loving relationship with Art Wimer. Barbara was one of the most involved ladies I have known...she was an elementary school teacher in the 70's and 80's and did charity work for years. Barb enjoyed tennis, golf and later Mahjong with her friends. Barb's devotion to family was a major part of her identity. There was nothing better than family gatherings, she loved them all.
Barbara was a true lady, always greeted people with a smile and open heart. She will be missed by many, but mostly by me.
