Chancia Musizette Cruz

October 5, 1984 – June 30, 2025
Obituary of Chancia Musizette Cruz
IN THE CARE OF

Baldwin-Fairchild Winter Garden Funeral Home

Chancia Musizette (Richardson) Cruz was born on October 5, 1984, in Columbus, Ohio. A vibrant soul with an adventurous spirit and a heart for service, Chancia brought light and joy into the lives of everyone who knew her.

She began her early education in Ohio and later graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida. Passionate about helping others, she pursued a career in massage therapy, earning her associate degree and using her skills to bring comfort and healing to many. She later served with dedication at the Orange County Supervisor of Elections before answering a higher calling to serve her country.

In 2017, Chancia joined the United States Army, where she rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). Her journey took her overseas to Germany, where she proudly served and represented the strength and courage that defined her.

Chancia was deeply loved by her family and is survived by her mother, Leonarda J. Richardson; her father, Keith Richardson; her older brother, Keith M. Richardson; and her Husband, Nick Cruz.

A woman of unwavering faith, Chancia loved the Lord and used her gifts to minister to others. She was known for her adventurous spirit, selflessness, and boundless energy. Whether she was traveling the world, exploring new passions, overcoming physical challenges, or encouraging others to embrace a vegan lifestyle, she lived her life with boldness and purpose.

To her family and friends, she was affectionately known as "Chubba"—our Baby Girl. In her 40 years on this earth, she shared with us a tapestry of memories filled with joy, resilience, love, and laughter. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will remain with us forever.

Chancia will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but we take comfort in knowing that we will see her again one day. Until then, we hold her in our hearts and give thanks for the gift of her life.

We'll see you later, Chubba. We love you always.
