We shall miss our former mayor and golf partner. Gene was a fun guy and a smart businessman. Great role model to inspire others to public service for the betterment of our community. Rest in Peace.

I have known Gene for over thirty years since he is my daughter's father in law and granddad to my grandchildren as well. I remember how welcomed I felt to his family when Paul and Alicia married. We have shared so many wonderful memories over the past thirty years.
Gene has always been a kind and gracious man with a great sense of humor. Throughout the years I could see the love between his wife, children and grandchildren and entire family first hand, which only grew as the years passed by.
Our heartfelt condolences to his whole family. Although he will be sorely missed may he and his legacy forever be remembered.

I was fortunate to grow up as a neighbor of Gene and his family. I played football, basketball and baseball every day with Charles John and Paul and then occasionally some one on one basketball with Gene. He was a good influence on us crazy kids as we grew up. I’ll miss him.

Gene was such a wonderful man - successful and so dedicated to his wife and his other family members. I loved it when he had his toy, the T-Bird. May Gene now RIP...

Gene was a very good man and an especially supportive colleague during the many years we worked together at Lockheed Martin. Gene was never too busy to help and encourage other employees including myself many times. I especially appreciated his wonderful sense of humor and wit. My thoughts and prayers go to his family and he will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
