Born on September 21, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana, David was raised by his loving grandparents, Jon and Mary Trembly, who helped shape the values and character he carried throughout his life. In the late 1970s, he moved with his family to Florida, where he built lasting friendships and memories.
David graduated in 1981 and was an Eagle Scout, reflecting his dedication and strong sense of responsibility. He was also a talented musician, playing trumpet in the West Orange Warrior Band.
After high school, David became an auto body and paint technician, where he discovered a lifelong passion for restoring cars, especially his beloved 1969 Camaro. He took great pride in working on hot rods and was known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail.
David later worked as an over-the-road truck driver, a chapter of his life that led him to meet Debra Magnuson. The two fell in love and welcomed his only child, Danielle Marie Grau. Becoming a father was one of David’s proudest and most meaningful roles.
Wanting to be closer to his family, David began working for the Reedy Creek Improvement District at Disney, where he remained for many years. In 2025, he made the decision to retire, leaving behind coworkers and friends, to spend more time with Daniell a choice that reflected how deeply he valued his role as a father.
David loved spending time with Danielle above all else. He also enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Star Wars, rock and roll, and working on and trading guitars. He took great joy in building his collections of guitars, Star Wars memorabilia, games, and coins.
He was a familiar and friendly face to many, and the ladies at Waffle House will surely miss his smile.
He is survived by his beloved rescue cat, Vadar, and his daughter, Danielle Marie Grau, who will carry forward his memory.
At this time, no formal service has been planned. Those who wish to be included in a future Celebration of Life or to send condolences are encouraged to reach out to Danielle Grau at:
P.O. Box 64, Killarney, FL 34740.
David will be remembered for his love of family, his passions, and the quiet, steady way he showed up for the people and things that mattered most.
