She was born on November 22, 1938, in Ashland, Ohio. The daughter of Clarence E. Hamlin, Sr. and Doris McCarty Hamlin of Ashland, Ohio.

She was retired homemaker and worked as an insurance secretary for many years. She loved the outdoors, traveling, and being with friends & family. Dixie Lee dedicated her remaining life to

being around her children, grandbabies & great grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Keith Duncan (Mindy) of Hayesville, OH, Kami Duncan of Interlachen, Florida, Malvin Roop (Debra) of Apopka, Florida, Troy Roop of Apopka, Florida, Darell Roop of Apopka, Florida, Teresa Ferris (Troy) of Sorrento, Florida, Jerald Roop (Debbie) of Sorrento, Florida, Sister Lucille Briggs of Mentor, OH, and Sister & Best Friend,Shirley Dreibelbis of Pickerington, OH, & many grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with cousins, nieces & nephews that she loved dearly.

She had a special way of making everyone around her feel welcome & loved. She never met a stranger, and those fortunate enough to cross her path often walked away with a laugh, a story, or

a full belly of food. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her favorite past time was the love of watching the Florida Gators, and any, & all baseball games especially the Tampa Bay Rays. Enjoyed baking & making goodies for all her loved ones. Family meant everything to her in life.

In addition, Dixie Lee was preceded in death by her Parents Clarence E. Hamlin, Sr., & Doris McCarty Hamlin, Brother Clarence E. Hamlin, Jr. (Ham & Suzie), and First Love, David (Dave)

Duncan of Ashland, Ohio. She married David D. Duncan in August 1956. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at Baldwin & Fairchild Funeral Home, 428 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, FL. They will be assisting the family with all services.
