Dear Morioka Family,

We have been thinking of you with heavy hearts.  Don made time to advise me or talk tennis.  He will always be a part of the Avanti family.

Dear Joan -
I was so sad to hear of your loss.  Don was an extraordinary individual.  At CBRE in Seattle, we did not see him often, but he never failed to be among the top producers every year.  He was respected by his peers for his professionalism and enthusiatic approach.  His love for you, tennis and Kyle were foremost.  Don knew how to work "smart" and maintain a great quality of life.  Don, and his ever present smile, will be remembered fondly.  
My very best to you, and Kyle, at this very hard time.

Joan & Kyle:  Yuki and I send our deepest condolences on the loss of "Uncle Don."  Please know, Don touched hundreds of people with his spirit of giving and mentoring.  He was the Captain of record on the 2004 USTA M 3.5 Team that Placed 2nd in the Nation.  He cajoled a team of young and old players to function together as a true Team and they went on to contend for the Sweet 16 National Title.  Personally, he helped me numerous times over Real Estate projects and he was always available as a friend with a kind word or with heartfelt advice whenever needed.  Our trip to Orlando last Fall was memorable with the time that we spent together especially the "Ice Bar escapade." I know that it's hard to understand Don's passing, but take solace that in his short time with you & Kyle,  he " Soared with the Eagles and Achieved Greatness." His Spirit will never be forgotten. Joan and Kyle: Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Don reached out and touched all of us, all over the country in many ways large and small. He was the older brother I never had. Not only did Don and I share a birthday, an alma mater, a love for tennis, electronic gadgets, porsches, and the water, but he helped me in other things, such as business, investing, financial planning and computers. His leadership on our teams was inspirational, and many teammembers who have gone on to lead other teams mention him as their inspiration. We will all miss him - but we will not forget him, or you both. Please let me know if we here in Seattle can do anything for you. Take care,

Dear Morioka Family, I knew Don through tennis in Seattle and the Avanti Nation, and he was my captain on a team that competed for a national championship in 2004.  I have tremendous memories of that team, that championship run, and of course, Don's easy smile and management style that made our team click.  Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.
