Dorothy graduated high school in 1949 from Pi Beta Phi settlement school. The first public school in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She worked for, Ogles Grocery and Dry Goods from 1949-1953, Pickles Grocery Store from 1954-1958, Stokely Canning Company 1958-1960, City of Longwood Water Dept, 1975-1995, and Baldwin-Fairchild 1996-2006ish.
She married Glenn Carroll Cordell in 1955, started a family in 1960, 3 children, Carroll Martin Cordell, Jeffery Lynn Cordell and Juanita Cordell-Griffin, moved from Knoxville, Tennessee to Winter Springs, Florida in 1974.
Predeceased family members, husband Glenn Carroll Cordell, and son Jeffery Lynn Cordell.
Surviving family members, Carroll Martin Cordell (Diana) and Juanita Cordell-Griffin (Kent), and daughter-in-law Nancy Bronson Cordell. 5 Grandchildren, Katelyn Renee Cordell and Glenn Buckner Cordell (Amber), Leanne Cathrine Cordell Stachowicz (Anthony), Dena Nichole Ray (Chucky) and William Bronson Cordell, and 5 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, from 5:00-6:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at All Faiths Memorial Park, 1390 Park Dr, Casselberry, Florida.
