

Ernestina Colon was born on March 16, 1931, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. She pursued her education with dedication, attending high school in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, and later completing her studies at a technical college to become a secretary. together with her husband, Ernestina ran a successful furniture store, specializing in bedroom sets and shoes. They raised three children: Manuel Crespo, Yvette Crespo, and Berardino Crespo. Ernestina was known for her kind, humble, and gentle nature. She spoke with a soft voice and was a beacon of calm, never showing anger or speaking harshly. her hard work was evident both in the office and at home., where she took on the responsibility of caring for her mother-in-law, her husband's mother., with love and dedication. her strong Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she imparted these values to her family. As a mother, Ernestina was exemplary. She was always present for her children, driving them to and from elementary and high school daily. When Yvette was ill, Ernestina showed her nurturing spirit by bringing her lunch to her at school for many months. Her unwavering support and love left an indelible mark on her children's lives. Ernestina's legacy is one of humility, respect, and kindness. She taught her children to carry these values forward, influencing their lives profoundly. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her teachings continue to guide her family in living lives filled with compassion and integrity.
A visitation for Ernestina will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. A committal service will occur Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at East Avenue, Oak Hill Cemetery, 801 East Avenue, Clermont, Florida 34711.
