I haven't seen Gary since high school but remember him as a young man sprinting down the basketball court. My sincere condolences to Gary's family.

I am so saddened to hear that Gary has passed away. I went to school and had several classes with him We all used to "hang out" together from very early days till graduation, and reunions brought us back briefly to share our memories. I saw Gary at a Nascar race, he never changed his looks nor his great sense of humor! Heaven will be adding a blessing to have him there..we on the other hand will miss him very much..I pray for comfort to all his family and friends.. Cherish every day for life goes quickly!

Sorry to hear of Gary`s passing, he was a great guy. Gary had a big heart and a great zest for life, he will be missed.


After working with, and socializing with Gary for more than thirty years, it's hard to think he's gone. He will be missed by all that knew him. He had a zest for life that made him unique, he is one of my most memorable friends. Rest in peace friend.....

Gary and I played baseball together in Pine Hills Little League. My Dad was our coach and to this day he still says that Gary Pozar was the most dominating pitcher he ever saw.I'm glad to have those memories. May you find glory in God's Kingdom Gary.

Sorry to hear of Gary's passing. He was a fellow classmate of Evans. Even my husband knew Gary as he too has worked for CenturyTel for 30 years here in Lake County.  Prayers to his family.

Losing someone takes you back in time and helps you remember the good times. We sure had plenty of them from Elementary School all the way thru High School.  Gary always seemed so much taller than us his whole life.  He definitely had a big personality.  We all did our share of cheering for him when he played, and now he can be cheering us on. Since I moved out of the Orlando area in the early 80's, my only memories of Gary are from high school. I never missed a home basketball game because he was so much fun to watch on the court. I remember him being a very friendly, outgoing guy who just seemed to enjoy life. He will be missed by many. My prayers are with his family.

I remember Gary's start in Little Teague as this 7' giant 9 year old pitcher who could practically hand the pitch to the catcher. Very daunting. Always had a laugh with Gary.

I took a moment to look at the photos in the gallery and my first thought was how long it's been since I've seen Gary, and how he really hadn't changed much.  Obviously he's older than I remember, but then, so am I.  I had not been in contact with Gary, but remember him vividly from Evans High School.  The years go by so fast.  It's a reminder to keep in touch wherever you can and with whomever you can.  Gary, you'll be missed.

to the family of Pozar, thats what i always called him. Pozar was a great guy and one of my best friends forever. I worked with Gary for 14yrs in Apopka.  Im really gonna miss him so much. I remember when a bunch of us would go eat oysters at Lee and Ricks, and Pozar would always try out the hottest sauce, which was a Red Rooster, we laughed so hard at him. There are so many great memories of Pozar, working with him , we had so many good times together. My prayers are with all the family and friends. Pozar was the best, and im gonna miss him.

So sorry for your loss. One of my first memories of Gary was when he called me 'Percee'. Gary was a funny person really, somehow he always made me laugh, but often I would shake my head and raise my eyebrows at him.  I went out on a couple of tech rides with Gary and he totally amazed me! He was always so polite and chatty with the customers, I saw a different side of him then. WOW, what a guy! Gary, you are truly a unique individual. We have lived next door for 34 years, and we have probably seen all sides of you. We particularily remember laughing until we thought our sides would split when you tell the story of your attempted skydiving. You were irritating at times, you liked to stir the pot and leave, but that is what makes you unique.
