He was born and raised in Laurel, MS where he graduated in 1971 from R.H. Watkins High School. He completed his undergraduate degree at Southern Mississippi University. He later received his MBA from Webster University.
George is survived by his wife of 22 years, Janine (Shreiner) Rahaim, daughter Ashley Rahaim, brother Kaleel Rahaim, sister Vickie Schmersahl, Father-in-Law Earl J. Shreiner, II , Mother-in-Law Dr. Berdella Shreiner, Sister-in-Law, Lydia (Shreiner) Gamel, Sister-in-Law, Elissa (Shreiner) Brooks, Brother-in-Law, Jason Gamel, Nieces and Nephews: Joyce McRae, Sonny Morad, Chris Rahaim, Tracy (Rahaim) Morgan, Mitchell Shreiner, Morgan Gamel, and Kennedy Gamel. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and many grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Effie (Rahaim) Schmersahl, father Moses Rahaim, Brother Deeb Rahaim, Sister-in-Law Anita Rahaim, Sister, Weedell (Rahaim) Morad, Brother-in-Law Roy Morad, Brother-in-Law Jerry Shreiner, Sister-in-Law Peggy Rahaim, Nephew, Anthony Morad.
April 16, 1984, George joined Martin Marietta in Michoud, LA where he worked for 34 years most currently as a Sr. Manager Manufacturing Planning at Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida.
He will be missed by every life he has ever touched. George was the type of man that would light up every room he walked into. Everyone felt like they were his best friend. His laugh and infectious smile will lie in our hearts forever. He was the ultimate family man who treated his wife, daughter and family members as his top priority. George carried out his family roles like a seasoned professional and conversely as a seasoned business professional, he treated everyone like family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 8:30 am on Tuesday, August 21st at Holy Family Catholic Church, Orlando, Florida.
In lieu of sending flowers, donations may be made in honor of George Moses Rahaim to the Orlando chapter of the American Heart Association.
