James T. Burke, 57 of Winter Garden, passed away on Jan. 1, 2012. He was born on December 5, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY. James, affectionately known as “Uncle Jimmy” or “Mr. Burke” enjoyed making people smile, always had a joke to tell, a song to sing and a rhyme right on time. He was a talented carpenter “a man for all reasons” and no job was too small or too large for him. He enjoyed riding his Harley and loved to fish, but the joy of his life was his family. James is survived by his beloved daughters: Nicole (Todd) Gilbert, Jamie (Sean) Varela and Rosemary (Kino) Burke: his ex-wife, Catherine Burke; his sisters, Kathleen Burke and Mary Burke and his two grandchildren: Conner Varela and Mateo Pompa.
A Celebration of James’ life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 5 PM in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, Winter Garden.
