Janie Mildred McPherson

Janie Mildred McPherson, 81 of Winter Garden, Florida went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 18, 2012. She was born in Waycross, Georgia on October 15, 1931 to Fred Finley and Lillian Lucille (Pennington) Hunt. Janie was an accomplished seamstress, she loved doing crafts, making dolls and most important spending time with her family. She was a member of the Church of God. Janie married Esker McPherson, and he preceded her in death in 1990. Janie is survived by her children: Paul (Kitty) McPherson, Richard (Yvonne) McPherson, Bobby (Donna) McPherson, Clyde (Nancy) McPherson and Margaret (John) Cockrell; her twelve grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 12 – 1 PM with funeral service to follow at 1 PM in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, Winter Garden, Florida. Interment will follow at the Winter Garden Cemetery.
