Cousin John John was an amazing person. I have many memories with John John from the pool, birthday and Christmas parties in the late 80s  through the 2000s. But my favorite memory was when we had just moved from the Bronx to Orlando and we were at titi Negras house and we were playing a horse racing game on the computer while eating Swiss cakes rolls. He always made me feel welcome and went out his way to make you feel important when he saw you. He will be truly missed.

If you ever met this this man you were lucky and if he was friend you were blessed  , I've had the privilege countless times to break bread , grab a meal and share a good laugh even though its been many years ago we worked together and became fast friends and I tell you this man was pure light ,! you will be missed deeply by all who knew you big brother .
I'm so sorry John John you nor your family deserved this type of homecoming but we know you in Heaven G and I ask all close to the family uplift them and each other be there now and down the line the healing has only begun ...

To the best bonus-grandad. From the minute we entered the family you immediately took Zach and I on as your grandkids. It wasn’t a question to you. You were all love, all acceptance and all hands on deck. Thats when you went from Angelina’s dad, to our grandad. Over a decade with you and it wasn't enough. You always made me feel loved, even living across the country I felt your love. I wish we had more time but I’ll see you again. On the other side. Thanks grandpa John. Thanks for being you. You are so incredibly loved and missed. 

I remember John told everyone at work that I do taxes. Outta nowhere everyone started coming to me for their taxes and didn’t know what the heck was going on. John had a great sense of humor. He will he missed. RIH

I had the pleasure of working with John over 20 yrs. ago in Orlando. There are some people that leave a lasting impression on you. John was one of them.  He was kindhearted, warm, hilarious, and a joy to be around. I have not seen John in over 20 years, but he is someone I remember like it was yesterday. I am heartbroken. My heart goes out to the Villafane family. I was fortunate enough to spend several years getting to know and love this amazing family. I am so sorry for your loss. RIP John Xox 

Uncle John, you were my godfather, a pretty damn good one too. Even though we lived far from each other every time we saw each other you ALWAYS made sure to let me know I was your #1 god daughter ! Thank you for helping my dad fix our house with grandma and grandpa everyday, thank you for taking me out when my dad got divorced and promising you would be a great uncle. Thank you for the laughs and the drinks and the fun you showed us as kids & growing up into the adult I am now, thank you for NEVER judging me even when my truth seemed to painful to tell !!!! When I was growing up and giving everyone something to complain about , you always extended your home and yourself to me and to Ellie. You were always there to make my try something like gator bites from gators !! Or hot sauce on all of my foods including spaghetti !! And salads yum ! I miss you, I wish I would’ve held you when I last saw you and I wish I would’ve taken every opportunity to be with you like I should’ve but this showed me how to do better in my adult life! Staying close to family was your message and I heard it loud and clear uncle John !! We will celebrate your life and we will find the person who did this because #villafaneclan sticks together !! Please give uncle Chris a hug for us , you’re with him now and I know you guys are having a blast up there watching over grandma and grandma and your kids and Ethan. Love you so much<3 <3

John was the friend that I never had to talk to everyday, but when we did he would just start the conversation from where we left off and it was always pure comedy.  He was a person who could blend in and fit in with any crowd except for the time we invited him out to play basketball and he came in Jeans shorts. John and I were co-workers but he looked out for me like a big brother. I called him when my grass died, to do my taxes, and if I wanted the inside scoop on anything he always seemed to know first and say “dude I was just about to call you.” John didn’t just make friends he made family, and if he had your back you would never fall. If he didn’t have the answer he could make a call and get back to you he always seemed to “know a guy.” John I will miss you forever bro. One Love OG

John was a great guy had lots of fun with him between hanging at the bars having some drinks or pulling lil John John out the mud he always had a smile on his face I will remember him forever RIP my friend 

My uncle John was a special man. He came to my rescue more times than I can even count. A few months ago me my husband and him sat at my counter for hours. He grabbed my husbands shoulder and said “I’m so proud of you. You’ve grown into such a strong man and you take care of my niece” then he told me how he’d always be here for me and he’ll always take care of me. My uncle always had such a big heart and was a huge teddy bear once you really knew him. I love you so much uncle John and I’m glad I had a father like figure like you in my life. I’ll always remind Jackson of “papa John” and all the ways you’d poke fun. I’ll miss you calling me to come over because you made me one of my favorite meals. Until next time ❤️

I am so sorry for the loss of John. He and his son made the neighborhood what is still is today. Protected.  The parties that he threw were nothing short of amazing and absolutely fun. I could smell his cooking from 2 doors down.  An absolute fun, caring and dedicated man. Honest and loyal. I am happy to have known him and he will be terribly miss. 

Although our words will never be able to comfort John's loved ones. Our heart felt thoughts, and prayers go out to The Villafane Family during this time of disbelief, heartache, and the unknown senseless reason of John's passing.  John was definitely a bright light to any situation he walked into. The humor and spirit that he had when our young boys played baseball together, is something I will never forget. Gone way too early in his life, but definitely made a huge positive impact on the many lives he touched! May you all always remember the cherished memories that make you laugh. Great childhood memories, everytime John John would visit Puerto Rico he would always make sure he would visit my grandmother Elba, no matter what. He always made time for her even if it was a short visit. She would always get so happy to see him. He was all about family.

I don't even know where to start. Uncle John and my aunt Carmen took in me and my brother Jose Carlos, they would always take us to Halloween horror nights, and Christmas at his parent's house was my best memory. we spent the night any chance we could and we watched movies and just have the best times.  My uncle John was a big-time jokester and definitely loved to have a good time. I am gonna miss you so much!! I had just spoken to you on Friday and was getting your cushions ready for you for Wednesday, instead I got the worse news of my life! I remember you saying, you know you are my favorite niece out of the Veloquio family? I remember laughing and telling you well duh! I love you always and forever uncle John!!! Love, always Alma

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember John as a work colleague and a good friend. He would do anything for his friends! We had fun on the ball field, in the office, or just being together. I am so grateful to have known him. And to have known the Villafane family. You, all of you, were always so good to me, so welcoming, so loving. God bless you all and may John rest in peace.

John was always the cool guy with people around him. I met him at work and at our first work event he was having a beer and said “you’ve been here long enough, we can have a beer now”. He introduced me to his son John-Jhon who was full of laughter just like him. Later John shared that his son was a police officer and he couldn’t be prouder.  Coincidently I found that I went to high school and worked for a short period with his daughter.  He is a great Dad and his kids are his legacy. They are respectful and kind like their Dad.  To the family: know that he lives in you and any time that you do as he thought you he is speaking that lesson to you. He lives through you.   Jhon: May you Rest In Peace my friend. 

I had the honor of working with John and remember what a big, kind heart he had.  He really made an impression on so many people and I'm thankful to have met him.  May he rest in peace.

I can't remember John John well, I was little when I met him and he helped give me and my parents as well as my brother a place to live when we moved from New York to Florida. I wish I remembered him more and I wished I met him again more recently before his untimely passing.

My heart is so heavy. What I wouldn’t give to bring you back. I have more questions then answers. My biggest question is why. Only God knows.  I still see your smile in my head. You were always smiling.  I still hear your voice in my head. Always cracking jokes and laughing. You always did have the best stories. You were always a real country boy, loved to fish and hunt, and you loved  your country music. You were the definition of a true leader! Always going to bat for your team. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to get to know someone as incredible as you. Amazing dad always talking about your children, nephews and grandson Ethan. Your face would always light up like a Christmas tree when talking about them. We will keep you in our heart and memories forever! Until we meet again. We love you forever and always!
