Karl V. Theiss

Theiss, Karl V. 87 of Winter Garden, Fl. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Fernley “Verne” and Beatrice Theiss on July 20, 1928. In 1941, his family moved to San Antonio, Texas where his family started a business. As a young teen, he worked in his fathers Grocery Store until he entered the Army in 1950 and proudly served in the Korean War. Upon discharge from the military, he came back home to San Antonio and opened a Hardware Store. In 1958, he moved his young family to Winter Park, Florida, to develop, own and manage a Mobile Home Park, until he sold the business and retired in 1986. He was a member of Shepard of the Hills Lutheran Church. He was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother-In Law, Uncle and Cousin.

He is survived by his loving family, sons Mark (Joy) Theiss of Windermere, FL and Paul (Suzanne) Theiss of Parrish, FL and Daughter, Karla Carson (Scott) of Clermont, FL, Grandchildren, Jennifer Veronee (Billy) of Apopka, FL, Phillip Theiss of Orlando, and Connor Carson of Clermont. Brother-In-Law, Edward Thiele of Houston, Texas and Cousins, Marian DuPont and Deanna Duke (Ken) of Rainbow City, Alabama. Six Great Grandchildren and one Niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, JoAnn Theiss.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10 am. Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Winter Garden will conduct a viewing for family and friends on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 6 – 8 pm. Interment will follow the services at Highland Memory Gardens.
