What an honor and privilage to have known this sweet woman. She was like a second Mother to me and I still consider myself the luckiest guy to have met, fell in love with and married her beautiful daughter Carol (a.k.a. Polly) in 1970.  Mrs. Murphy was always good to me from the very beginning and always made me feel loved and welcome.  How could you not respect a woman of such good character, truly an example to us all.  While I will miss her encouraging words of wisdom and the many conversations about faith, I know she is in Heaven now.  She is likely sitting along side my Mother and having a nice visit.  Thank you Mama Murphy for all the happiness I have experienced since being accepted as a member of your family.  I will forever be heholding.  I know you continue to watch over us each and every day.

Our Mothers love will never be forgotten.  She was always there for each of us, she worked hard and gave everything she had to us and to others.  I am so grateful for the kind of person my Mother was, for everything she did for me as I was growing up, and for the example she set. I have the assurance that she is with our Heavenly Father and that she is happier than she has ever been. I will always Love and miss my Mom. Growing up on farms, we never had much but we always had each other.  It was nice having a big sister to learn from.  Family was and still is the most important thing of all. 

I will miss her but know she is in heaven waiting for me.  She is now in the hands of God, and there is no better place to be.

I just wanted to say how much i loved granny she was an inspiration for all of us. I spent many a nights at her home with carolyn she always welcomed me as a daughter. I will miss her laughter and her biscuits but most of all her love for all of us! R I P GRANNY we all know you are up in HEAVEN with our LORD !!!!  MY PRAYER WARRIOR INDEED

I have known Ms. Murphy for over 45 years.I went to school with Carolyn so I spent alot of time at her house and ate alot of Delicious meals,she was the best cook ever.I also grew up in her church and she was also the BEST CHRISTIAN ever.I loved her as a 2nd Mom and she will be dearly missed. I know she's up in heaven dancing and shouting with my Mom. RIP Mama Murphy,

To my grandmother Lessie Murphy.. I love you and am missing you very much! I am so thankful that me and you were so close and I am going to miss hugging you everyday and sitting with you and talking. I have known Mrs. Murphy since I married into the Barfield family.  Her sister Modell talked about her a lot. She has always been a good christian lady and I know that she is with the Lord now.  Don't fret to much family.  She is truly happy at thia time and we will see her again when our time comes.  God Bless all of you.   Our symphatthy and prayers are with you.

I have known Granny Murphy most of my life. She is the grandmother of my daughter Jennifer, who was called home in 2003, she is the great grandmother of Jennifer's 3 children....Tim, Sami and Ryan Murphy. I have always loved Granny, she is /  was a wonderful person. Hard working, good Christian Lady. 
To Frank, Bo, Carol, and John...I am so sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to all of y'all....plus all of Granny's, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren....in this difficult time, I pray you find peace knowing Granny is with her Heavenly Father. To the Murphy family, Lessie was one of the best christian prayer warriors and you knew that you could always count on her to pray when someone was in need. I worked with her for many years at Winter Garden Exchange and she never denied her christian beliefs. She became a part of our our family when Dianne married Frank and we have always thought of her that way. She will be missed.

My  Aunt Lessie V (I always called her Aunt Bee)  was one of the greatest southern christian ladies I have ever known.  She was always there to lend a hand when my mother Modell Barfield was bedridden and she would not hesitate to come help take care of her when needed.  She was a kind, strong woman that raised 4 children after my uncle passed and never once complained about anything.  She lived a long good christian life and now we have one more angel in heaven looking out for us.  We will surely miss her but she will now be reunited with her husband and mother and several of her sisters in a better place than this world we live in today.  I am sure she flew up to heaven on the wings of an angel saying "don't worry about me, I'll be fine".  Love you Aunt Bee.  Your niece Janice Barfield Richardson and family.
