Lucas Westgate

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lucas Westgate. Born on August 5, 1988, our beloved son, brother, family member, and friend passed away on January 12, 2020, at the age of 31.

A welding superintendent, Lucas worked on projects for clients ranging from local schools to NASA. He was proud of his professional accomplishments, most notably his contributions to the Orion Launch Pad project.

In his short time with us here on earth, Lucas lived and loved with passion. He was a lover of music, animals (especially his rescue dog, Boomer), and travel. A fun-loving, adventurous spirit, Lucas was thrilled to include in his journey experiences such as Burning Man and Hulaween.

Lucas is survived by his parents, Joseph and Karen Westgate, and sisters, Mallory Guarino (Michael) and Stephanie Langner (Gary). He also leaves behind grandparents, Merrill and Virginia Robb, and Lenore Imondi. He will be tremendously missed by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Lucas is preceded in death by his sister, Meghan Westgate, and grandfather, Robert Imondi.

I never knew you but my boys, Shane and Travis grew up with Lucas and my husband worked with Lucas closely as a welder with SI Goldman. I feel as though I knew him through all of the great stories they had and are still talking about. They all have very fond memories of Lucas. He will never be forgotten. I am very sorry for your loss. I wish your whole family the best and hope that you know that there are so many people out here that never even met you or him that have been touched by Lucas and his great spirit!
