Mariarae Gabriel

Born on August 29, 1975, in Brooklyn, New York, Mariarae grew up on Staten Island, where she built lifelong friendships and cherished memories. She carried her New York roots with her throughout her life, maintaining close bonds with many dear friends from her early years.

Mariarae was the devoted daughter of Annette Comitini-DiStefano and the late Emanuel Comitini. She was a loving sister to Manny and Joseph Comitini, and a deeply devoted wife to her husband, Michael Gabriel. Above all, she was a proud and loving mother to her two sons, Michael and Matteo, who were the center of her world.

She began her career as a hairstylist at her cousins’ salon, Chrysalis, on Staten Island, where her creativity and warmth touched many clients. She later dedicated herself to helping others as a paraprofessional at P.S. 45, continuing to make a meaningful impact in her community.

In August 2021, Mariarae and her family moved to Windermere, Florida, where she embraced a new chapter in her life. She returned to her passion for the beauty industry, working as a cosmetologist at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. She found great joy in her work and often expressed how much she loved her career and the happiness it brought her. Her family shared in that joy, building a life together filled with love, laughter, and new experiences in Florida.

Mariarae was surrounded by a large and loving family, including many cousins and extended relatives who cherished her deeply. She was also blessed with a wonderful family through marriage, who embraced her with open arms and shared in years of love, laughter, and unwavering support.

She had a remarkable ability to connect with people and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit will be remembered always.

Mariarae’s love for her family, her passion for her work, and her vibrant presence will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
