Doesn't seem possible that Marilyn has been gone this long.  I think of her so often.   Her beautiful spirit and love of life will be carried on through wonderful memories of her children, grandchildren and any and every one who knew her.    Lynn Nielsen Grant 7/1/2024

Renta Grandma was like no other ! She was our neighbor and quickly became family over 15 years ago . She loved my kids like they were her own grandkids and she was there for them through so much.  Irreplaceable always dressed up head to toe always had a great story or advice for us.  We are blessed to have been part of her family and will miss her dearly.  Please watch over my babies like you always have . Hope you are in heaven dancing with your man . We love you always and will never forget you .

 I first met Marilyn in 1993 when I became her coworker at the hospital. We quickly became great friends. She always had a story, joke, or one liner to tell. She actually made work fun.
 I loved her quick wit, infectious smile and hardy laugh. She was a great listener with a kind heart. I will miss our long talks with her wisdom on how to save the world.
 Marilyn was like another grandmother to not only my girls but also my pups. On several occasions she graciously invited them into her home to stay while Mark and I had to be away.
 My condolences go out to the family. Over the years I only met each of  you a handful of times but I feel like I know you personally from the stories and life events that Marilyn shared with me. It was obvious to anyone listening she loved you all fiercely and was so proud of each of you.
 Although I will miss her greatly, I’m sure she is smiling down on us while she continues to collect jokes and stories to share when we meet again.

Oh, my dear friend I will miss you! Being friends and across the street neighbors since 1966 is a long time! You told me there were 79 steps from your front door to mine! The long conversations in the swing, going out for breakfast, dancing in the rain, texting back and forth about Dancing With The Stars and Blue Bloods!  The list of memories goes on and on!  RIP without pain! You are the strongest woman I know! 

I loved Marilyn like a sister.  She had a way of ALWAYS making people feel happy and loved.  I'll be forever saddened by the fact that we lost touch in the later years.   But I think she knew how I felt about her.   She will be remembered with only warmth and love until we meet again.


Hi I am Cindy Brignone the daughter of Elsa Ballantyne.  I love Marilyn she is always such a well put together person who had a love for life and family! 

She was always dressed perfectly with  lots of detail....I loved chatting with her whenever I came into town from Utah and other occasions as well...I know my mother had so many fun experiences in their working career together and always was laughing...

I know she loved her family and never wanted anyone to feel bad about what was happening to her.  She is a true friend and so considerate to others. 

I love you Marilyn...you will be greatly missed!!!

Marilyn is a dear friend and family member to me! We worked together at Health Central for many years and I love her so much.  I am grateful she is no longer in pain and with loved ones that have gone before her.  
My condolences to the family...Marilyn loved her family so much and shared many pictures and stories with me.  Even though I moved from Florida to Utah I still kept up with her and let her know how much I love her.  She is an amazing, beautiful, kind person to have known.

I worked with Marilyn since 1990 at West Orange Hospital and then at Health Central in the OB department. She was a great nursery and OB nurse. We always had fun due to Marilyn's great sense of humor. I loved her like a sister. She will be missed greatly.
