He was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 31, 1956 to Michael & Louise (Fergo) DeRienzo.
Mike met his beloved wife, Christine, working together in the insurance industry.
He raised a family of four children, whom he poured love into through his delicious cooking, coaching baseball and through his jokes, storytelling, and having fun.
Mike enjoyed Yankees baseball, Giants and Gators football, listening to a wide variety of music and had a wonderful zeal for life.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Matt.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christine DeRienzo; sons, Mike A. DeRienzo (Debbie) and Joe DeRienzo, daughter, Andrea Todd (Greg); grandchildren, Emily, John, Eleanor, Lauren and Paul; brothers, Richard (Donna) and Joe (Joan); sisters, Linda and Lisa; Step-mother, Diane and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The DeRienzo Family wants to celebrate Mike’s life with food, stories, and fun. Please join us on Monday, January 23 for a visiting time from 5-6pm, then a communal sharing of memories at 6pm, followed by a prayerful celebration of life at 6:30pm.
*Those who cannot join us from out of town may access the celebration from 6-7pm via livestream.
