Nina E. Shilling

Nina E. Shilling, 89 of DeLand, Florida and formerly of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. She was born on July 5, 1923 in Branford, Connecticut. Nina loved taking care of children and worked for several day care centers for over 20 years. She loved spending time with her family, and they will greatly miss her. While she lived in Orlando, Nina was a member of the First Alliance Church and in DeLand she was active with the Community Alliance Church. Nina was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill; and is survived by her children: Gary (Nancy) Shilling and David (Janet) Shilling; by her sister, Barbara Galler; her five grandchildren and her three great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Nina’s life will be held on December 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of the Alliance Community for Retirement Living, 600 S. Florida Ave., DeLand, Florida. Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alliance Women’s National Project, c/o Fellowship Bible Church, 2827 County Road 220, Middleburg, Florida 32068.
