Odessa M. O'Brien

Of Winter Garden, FL passed away peacefully on Friday April 12, 2013. She was born to the late John E. Maticic Sr. and Odessa M. Scott in Somerville, MA on March 1, 1962. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her late brother William A. Maticic Sr. She is survived by her husband William E. O'Brien III, her daughters Sarah B. O'Brien (partner Evelyn Rivera/step daughter Krysten) and Courtney E. O'Brien (boyfriend Alex Orellana.) She is also survived by her brother John E. Maticic Jr. (wife Nelia Maticic) and nephews: William A. Maticic Jr, John E. Maticic III, Timothy A. Maticic, as well as her Aunt Evelyn Desmarais, Uncle Donald Desmarais, and numerous cousins and extended family.

An avid Disney enthusiast, Dessie was a proud member of the Disney Vacation Club. She enjoyed frequenting the Disney parks, sailing on the Disney Cruise Line, and even just hanging at the Disney resorts for the day. This was often referred to as her home away from home. Her biggest passions in life were her friends and family. She was the life of the party and always brought smiles to everyone's faces. Dessie is also survived by her favorite furry kids, her dog Hayley and cat Taio.

Her professional career included office management as a bookkeeper and business ownership. She was a proud co-owner of O'Brien's Roast Beef in Plaistow, NH (1990's) and Bayline Auto Repair, Inc in Orlando, FL (2007-current.)

Although Dessie's life was cut drastically short, she made outstanding memories with everyone she came into contact with. Dessie will always be remembered by her down to Earth personality as well as her witty sense of humor, caring heart, the love she had for life and all that were in it.
