Philip Prado (age 88) of Windermere, FL, passed away on June 30, 2021, after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Riendeau) Prado with whom he recently celebrated their 40th anniversary.
Born in Madera, CA, he was the son of the late Bonifacio and Rosa (Rodriguez) Prado.
Most recently, he lived in Windermere, FL and spent most of his life in the Los Angeles and Orange counties of California.
He retired as a contracts administrator from Disneyland in 1998 and previously worked at National Energy Corporation, Fluor Corporation, and Masoneilan Corporation. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army division.
Philip leaves his wife, Carol (Riendeau) Prado, children James and Phyllis of Whittier, California, and Scott Charron of Windermere, FL, six grandchildren: Gabriel, David and Michelle of Whittier, CA and Cameron, Madison and Brady of Windermere, FL.
He was the brother of Emilio Prado of Arcata, CA, and Esther Parry of Escondido, CA.
Burial with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
