Rayford "Bobby" Fleming

Rayford “Bobby” Fleming, 78, received his heavenly reward on March 9th, 2021, after a short but valiant cancer battle. His devotion to his family, country, and faith in Jesus Christ supported him in his fight and ultimately gave him peace.

Bobby was born December 17th, 1942, to the late Joe Bascomb and Effie Bell Fleming in Winter Garden, FL. He was a disciple of Jesus Christ, a member of First Baptist Church of Winter Garden, and a US Army Veteran. He is a former Lieutenant with the Winter Garden Police Department and a former Auxiliary Officer with the Oakland Police Department. He retired as a dispatcher with the family business, Lott’s Concrete Products, in 2007.

Bobby’s highest priority was his family. He married his true love, Belinda Faye Lott, on December 7th, 1973. Together they raised their children Scott and April, encouraging and challenging them along life’s journey. Bobby’s greatest joy was his granddaughter Abigail who lit up his life daily.

Bobby loved the great outdoors, spending much of his leisure time fishing, camping, and hunting with his children, and riding through downtown Winter Garden on the family golf cart. He always looked forward to football season’s Saturdays to support his team, the Florida Gators, win or lose. Bobby was April’s biggest fan, whether she was cheerleading, competing in a pageant, or competing in sports. He supported Scott throughout his scouting career and into the Gospel ministry.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 pm on Thursday March 18th at Baldwin Fairchild in Winter Garden. Funeral services will follow on Friday, beginning at 2pm at Winter Garden Methodist Church.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Johnnie Paul Lott, Sr. and Willer Dean Lott, his brother Ray Fleming, and his sisters Virginia Jones and Merle Williams.
