Uncle Ray was the best - a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and a dedicated Marine who well served his country. He was a good man whose sense of humor and easygoing manner made life more pleasant for all who knew him. He will very much be missed by our family.

Ray and I served together off and on starting in Bremerhaven, Ger. He and I shared many memories when he would make his command visits to the various letter companies while he was serving as the Marine Support Bn. Sergeant Major. He was a fine Marine and a great Staff NCO. He was also instrumental in helping to expand the Marine Corps Cryptologic Association (MCCA). I know he will be missed by his family as well as his many friends from the Corps.
God Bless and Semper Fidelis to another Marine who is taking his post guarding the streets of heaven.

Ray was my Sergeant Major at Marine Support Battalion and I could always depend upon him for good advice and support. Later his work with the MCCA was invaluable. But Ray was more than my SgtMaj and loyal member of the MCCA, he was my friend! My condolences to Rita, Ray Jr. and Randy. May God bless and comfort you in this time of loss.
'til the last landing's made, and we stand unafraid;
on a shore no mortal has seen.
'til the last bugle call sounds taps for us all;
It's Semper Fidelis Marine!
RIP my friend.
