I just heard about Tim's untimley passing and am very sorry to hear this shocking news. I worked with Tim several years ago in Orlando and got to know him pretty well thru happy hours and playing softball. He was always very funny and engaging and a fun guy to hang out with. He will be missed. God Bless!

My sympathy goes out to you at this very sad time. TIm and my son Mike were great friends for a very long time. They had much fun and caused much mischief together. Tim was always very respectful to me and I always enjoyed his company.

I know the pain of loss you are going through. God will see you through. My prayers are with you and your family.

Tim, or as we called him, "Donovan" was loved by all the Raefs (including my 85 year old grandma!)  His jokes and smile gave him the ability to talk his way out of any trouble he and Mike may have gotten into. And that was no easy feat with Mr. and Mrs. Raef! As one of Mike's best friends, Donovan was like a brother to me and as such would tease me constantly and say, "Baby Raef" every time he'd pass me in the halls of Hersey High! We loved when he was our personal tour guide through Walt Disney World. I will smile when I remember how much laughter he brought into the lives of our family over the years. He will be greatly missed.

Marylia, words seem so inadequate to express the sadness felt from Tim's passing.  My deepest sympathies go out to you, your family and Tim's family.  As others have commented, there are so many memories of Tim reminding me of the fun, laughter and unique perspective he brought to all our lives.  As I've gotten older, one of Tim's best messages (a true gift really) was the understanding to not take life so seriously and enjoy the moment.  He'd regularly tell me, “the world's round, we'll get there”.  He was clearly wise beyond his years as it took me a long time to understand and appreciate the wisdom in such a simple statement.  I'm a blessed and better person for knowing him.  Tim will be remembered and greatly missed.  Shalom!

Oh, Tim. You will be missed. Rides in the "Zepplin," the Bat Cave, late nights at the auto shop. 
Tim was a rare breed of hilarity, wit, intelligence and sweetness. 
He'll be missed, but that grin won't be forgotten by any of us.

Memories of Tim-

Calling his house and his dad answers, after I ask "is Tim home", he puts down the phone and says "Timmer, telephone".

Going to Tim's house on my lunch break in 1988 and watching old Batman reruns with Tim & Max the dog.

Tim's Green Oldsmobile Delta 88 with "ZEPELIN" on the license plates.

Waking up on the couching in the Bat Cave & getting up to walk my girlfriend Sarah home but Tim had tied a string from my shoelace to a water pipe in the ceiling. 

Walking out to my truck hungover on my way to work and finding the windows covered with Playgirl pages.

Writing letters back and forth when Tim went away to school in New Mexico.

23 years later reuniting with Tim and meeting Marylia at a bar in Wrigleyville and talking about how we shared so many fun times together.

I have so many great memories of Tim. I am proud to say he is my friend forever.

Tim was always a happy guy.  A great friend to many people whoare all a part of the "Wierdo Family".  I will forever remember The many gatherings at The Hall of Justice.  God bless Tim's family and friends!

Tim and Marylia have been my clients since 2011. Every time we talked to him, he was very kind and passionate about life.  He was very happy about his new endeavor with the UPS store. Our deepest condolences to Marylia and his family.

Tim's been one of my best friends since high school.  Some of my favorite memories with him were, hanging out in the Bat Cave, the many nights ending up at Armando's eating pizza, and having him as the Best Man at my wedding. 

It's hard to believe he's gone. 

Tim, you will be greatly missed.  RIP General.

I met Tim at the Bat Cave, and he had me with his unique sense of humor. I have only great memories, and regret not having seen him in Florida when we were in touch not long ago. 
Tim will be missed by many.

I met Tim back in 7th Grade at Thomas Jr. High in Arlington Heights, IL. 
There was something about our personalities that clicked and we became good friends. It has been 32 years since we met, and although Tim is no longer among us in this life, he will remain my friend for eternity. 

Unfortunately, as with anyone that goes before you, the sorrow of their passing will be the final memory.
Although there will be no new happy memories with Tim, I have many years of memories that I can recall at anytime that bring a smile to my face.

Since his passing, so many things I had forgotten have returned and they are all good memories - memories of high school, The Bat Cave, The Hall of Justice, The Slew, his dog Max, Rum and Big Gulps, countless parties, college, weddings and Tim's all time favorites "Rod, Peter, Lem, Claudia, and 3D Road Maps".

Thankfully we were able to spend time with Tim and Marylia just a couple months before he died. 

I will always cherish Tim's wonderful and quirky sense of humor. He was a true one of a kind. 

Tim, thanks for everything and I will miss you always.

Tim was a great friend.  I miss him more than I can say.

I have been trying to focus on happy memories to hold the sadness off, and I keep thinking of when Tim and Marylia came to Chicago for the Cubs game.  It was a beautiful summer day. Bright sun, blue sky, vivid green of Wrigley Field.  Tim, Marylia, myself and numerous friends and family all sitting in a row in the bleachers enjoying our luke warm beers, laughing and enjoying life.  A perfect moment that will always be in my heart.

Thinking of all of Tim's extended family and friends during this difficult time.

As his trainer for The UPS Store, I only knew Tim a few weeks, but will miss his humor and excitement for his new endeavor.
