Wellington A. Hyde

Wellington Hyde, 78 Orlando Florida passed away on November 11th 2025. He was born in Lime Hall Ocho Rios, Jamaica on April 15th, 1947. Welly graduated from Lime Hall Primary. School and as an adult attended George Brown college in Ontario, Canada where he received some college credits towards an HVAC certification. He was married to Elizabeth Hyde on April 25th 1987

Wellington immigrated from Jamaica in 1971 to Toronto, Ontario, Canada and then eventually leaving Toronto with his wife in 1999 after to their final home in Orlando, Florida and the United States.

Wellington, a former Machinist for many years who retired from Kaman Industrial Technologies, channeled his great passion into music. He was an avid collector who amassed a vast, all-vinyl record collection that he began building in the 1970s and continued to curate throughout his life.

Wellington is survived by his wife Elizabeth Hyde, his children Jeffery (Tyrone) Murray, Nicholas (Nicky) Hyde his grand children Cassandra Niepalla, is Tyanthony Murray his great grand children Malena Mattadeen and Atlas Niepalla his sisters Carmel Shaw and Sonia Maitland

Funeral Services will be held at 11am, November 22nd 2025 at Westwood Church.
