Alfred Alden Banker

Born on March 26, 1947, Alfred proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later earned his Bachelor’s degree from Andersonville Baptist Seminary. A man of faith and strength, he was a member of the Lake Region Baptist Church, where he found community and purpose.

Alfred was known for his warm personality and love of simple joys. He enjoyed singing, collecting Hot Wheels, and spending time selling treasures at local flea markets. His kindness and sense of humor left an impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra T. Banker; his sister, Marcia Bussolari (Gary); his stepson, Eric Pennington; grandson, Andrew (Niki); and step-granddaughter, Alizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Simone Banker.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Region Baptist Church, 2019 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, FL 33883.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Alfred’s memory.
