Winter Haven – Amos J. Wells, age 83, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 due to COPD. He was born Wednesday, March 6, 1929 in Etta, MS, the son of Samuel B. Wells and Mary Jane Veal Wells. He retired from the US Air Force as a Tech. Sgt. Following retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a mechanic with FMC.

Mr. Wells is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Joyce M. Wells, son: Gary Wells (Mitzi), Lakeland, FL, daughter: Diane Hunter (Gary), Winter Haven, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday from 6-8 pm at Ott-laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Graveside services are Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Rolling Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Good Shepherd Hospice.
